The short version: we collect your email address, we use it to send you updates about the build and news about booking the cottage, and we do nothing else with it.

What we collect

Your email address, and the fact that you ticked the consent box, along with when you did it. That is the whole list. We do not ask for your name, your address or anything else.

Why we have it

Because you asked us to email you. That consent is the only legal basis we rely on, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Confirming it is you

When you sign up we send one email asking you to confirm. Until you click that link you are not on the list, and if you never click it, nothing further happens. This stops anyone adding your address without your say-so.

What we send

Updates on the renovation and the tiny cottage, and news about when the cottage can be booked. Nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share your address with anyone, and we do not send advertising on behalf of other people.

Who else can see it

Our email provider, Resend, stores the list and sends the emails on our behalf. The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs. Both are service providers acting on our instructions, and neither uses your address for their own purposes.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or third-party tracking. We see anonymous, aggregated visit counts through Vercel, which cannot identify you.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or until the list is no longer being used, at which point we delete it. If you never confirm, your address is removed rather than left sitting there.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe in one click from the bottom of any email we send. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do it. Under UK GDPR you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not happy with how we have handled things.
